GRVS Modules

GRVS follows the N-Trak standard. An N-Trak Booklet that describes the standard is available from the N-Trak website

A couple of items, other than a module, are required to participate in our layouts:

• A fence pole to allow a rope to be held in front of module at 38 inch height
  • A bucket (coffee can) filled with concrete and a 3/4 inch to 1 inch PVC pole cemented in place, is recommended.
  • Fence Pole must allow members access to space between fence rope and module -  to be able to walk around layout inside of the fence.

A couple of points of emphasis:

• While Cinch-Jomes plugs are still the N-trak standard, GRVS encourages the use of the new alternate standard - Powerpoles as described on the N-trak web site
• If you use Powerpoles on your modules, per the N-trak rules, you must provide Powerpole-to-Cinch-Jones adapters.
• The white (DC power for throttles) line is required.
• Use eyebolts for height adjustment mechanism rather than carriage bolts.
