Four GRVS members made our way to Council Bluffs, IA this weekend to participate in a Great Train Expo train show. We had a 16 x 24 layout which was perfect for the number of participants. We were all set up, except for the skirts, on Friday when we had to vacate the hall at 7 PM. We had an excellent location in the lobby. We were the first exhibit encountered by the entering public.
This was a great show. We had a very receptive audience with many comments about how good our layout looked. N-scale shopping was very good with three serious N-scale dealers. The four of us would like to come back to this show next year, especially if we can get our spot in the lobby again.
We also succeeded in making connection with the Des Moines and Omaha N-trak clubs. They had a joint 35x110 foot flayout at this show.
