The State Fair show went well.

We had a larger layout at this edition of the Fairgrounds show and we had a good turnout of GRVS members to run trains on the layout.

The show marked the debut of three new modules, two of which are interactive for audience members.
Devin's project module appeared for the first time and seemed to attract a crowd attempting the time-saver switching puzzle. This module features a section only 30 inches above the floor rather than the standard n-trak 40 inch height so it is more accessible to the kids. Notice that the n-trak lines are at the normal 40 inch height at the back of the module.
The module attracted crowds, primarily kids.
The second new module was Don's western module with a loop of track behind the n-trak lines running tiny old time trains.
The third new module was another time-saver module owned by the Twin ities Division of the NMRA. The purpose of this module is to provide a platform for the local NMRA division to explain the advantages of NMRA membership. We would have to say that effort was successful as the supply of NMRA fliers was exhausted by noon causing a run to a copy shop for more fliers.
At the end of the show, the layout was disassembled and put away in about 25 minutes.
