Westminster Junction 2010

GRVS organized a train show at the Carpenters Union Hall in St. Paul. This show was a benefit for the Carpenter's Union food shelf. show info

The train show is named for the railroad junction that existed near the show venue. The Phalen Blvd bridge over the railroad tracks has a track overlook labeled "Westminster Junction".

GRVS has been looking to oeganize a train show in the Twin Cities as recently there have been few opportunities for our members to set up and run their modules in public. While the club is represented at a number of out of town shows, only some of our members are able to maker those trips. Therefore, providing an opportunity to set up modules and run trains without extensive travel is important to the club.

Fortunately we found a suitable venue and a good cause in the Carpenter's Union Food shelf.

The show was successful in collecting cash and food contributions to the Carpenter's Union Food Shelf and the train clubs got to run their trains.

Altogether eleven layouts/displays were included in the show:
